Cleanup games

The day after Christmas i woke up in a very messy house.  We were receiving my husband's family for Christmas.  Immediately i had a flash back of kids running around, tearing down and throwing on the floor Christmas gift wrappings, jumping around on the sofa and spilling hot chocolate on the floor. Sounds familiar?

Just as adults, children require motivation to get things done.  We all know how children love to play.  I believe having fun turns a chore into a game and therefore you have more chances of engaging your child to help you clean.

If you have more than 1 child in approximately same age group you are in luck.  Cleaning up after Christmas could become a competition.  Just try setting up a goal and follow through.  Here are a few examples for all family cleaning fun.

1. Set a competition, whoever gathers most toys and puts them into a storage box wins the challenge and the prize is......fill in the blanks based on your values.

2. Try to set a timing limit to finish a task, whoever does not finish on time will have extra cleaning task. Adding fun music you know your kids like is an added bonus.

3. Play cleaning hide and seek.  Hide a few little toys and while dusting your child should be able to locate all of them.  They will need to be hidden everywhere you want your child to dust so if he/she does not pass by with a duster they won't find them.  The game is not over until all children find all toys. Encouraging your children to help each other locating hidden toys fosters connection, friendship and team work.

4. Assign a kingdom to every child and their goal should be to keep foreign objects away from their kingdom.

At the end of the cleaning games reward your child by placing their favorite Disney, Nickelodeon or Marvel character on their room's wall.

Happy after Christmas cleaning everyone.

Kitchen and Christmas reception

Christmas is just a week away and the cheer is all around us.  My city is gorgeous around this time of year.  Every store showcases their version of Christmas.  People's balconies are displaying Christmas lights as well.  I could not help and decorate my balcony as well.

Are you receiving anybody for Christmas this year? I am receiving 20 people at my place this year.  It means hours and hours of cooking, just me and my new best friend for the whole next week -  kitchen.
This year i am in the mood to show off.  My living room is already decorated, however my kitchen is still white and boring.  If you live in a big house it may not be a problem, however i am a city gal and i live in a condo.  My living room overviews the kitchen so if i want to show off how am i going to spice up my boring kitchen? What decorations are you going to use?

How many of you are puzzled how to decorate your kitchen? Kitchen's have the nasty habit of getting dirty easily.  How many of you have had oily spots on the wall near the oven, the sink an the garbage bin? I know i have.  Cleaning the walls could be a chore.

Chore no more.  Many of our Snap Expressions wall decals are perfect for kitchen walls. We even have them in several languages if you are a fancy cook at heart.

Are you the French chef? Than 'Bon Appetite' Snap Expression would look great on your kitchen wall.
Do you gravitate towards Spanish speaking food or culture? Than nothing says home better then the smell of a fresh cooked meal and 'Mi casa es su casa' !
Are you a business lady or a business man who is always on the go? We have the perfect Snap for you - 'Cafe' Snap.
Are you simply all American kind of girl who is successfully juggling your career, husband, kids and house chores? Psst even if your better half helps you with the kids and the house chores you still deserve  your kitchen to look great effortlessly.  I would recommend 'Kiss the cook' Snap.

The best part about our Snap assortment is they are self adhesive and repositionable which also means their removal is effortless.  If you happened to splash some oil on your Snap? No problem, just wipe it off gently using a soft moistened sponge and your kitchen shines again.

Happy Christmas cooking everyone !

Santa Claus is coming to town !

‘You better watch out
You better not cry
Better not pout
I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town
He's making a list
And checking it twice;
Gonna find out Who's naughty and nice
Santa Claus is coming to town’
(John Frederick Coots and Lyricist Haven Gillespies)

Momms and Dads are you ready for Christmas?  I know your kids are anxiously anticipating it, I know I was when I was a child.

Christmas is the most magical season for every child.  In fact various research shows that 70% of 3 year olds believe Santa Claus is real , by the age of 5 83% believe it and only starting from the age of 7 the belief in Santa Claus starts to decline.  Full article can found by following the link http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703344704574610002061841322.html

When I was a child Christmas used to be my favorite holiday.  The festive decorations contributed to the feeling I am a Princess in the magical and shiny kingdom where anything is possible.  I used to wake up in the middle of the night just to sneak up to the living room where I could swear I saw a fairy lurking behind a Christmas tree brunch, an elf talking to Santa, Mickey and Minnie dancing under the Christmas tree.  I was just sitting there in the middle of the night, staring at the Christmas lights glistening, my favorite characters moving in the dark, waiting for the Santa Claus to bring me gifts.

My little niece shows the same signs of Christmas fever and believes she is a Princess.  I believe most children all over the world love Christmas for all the same reasons.

Our Peel and Stick assortment can help you create the magic on your walls so your little ones can imagine being a part of the adventure.  Allow Mickey, Princess, Fairies, Dora and more to come to your children’s lives.  Your children will thank you for it.  All Peel and Stick products are easy up, easy down so when you children’s taste changes or you simply want to remove them for any other reason, just peel or pull them off the wall.

Spread the magic. After all it is Christmas.
Merry Christmas
